I'm Back!
Hello Again!
I'm back after a very long (too long) period of time.
I have no good excuse really expect for the fact that I didn't have a camera.
But I have a post for you today of some of my recent purchases, with my new camera!
A vintage mirror, hair brush and clothes brush set for £1.50 and a 1937 coronation cigarette book.

Ration Book Year - Day 1
Today is the first day of my Rationing year. Every 2 months will represent 1 year. I am starting in 1940 because in 1939 they didn't have any food rationing, hence the phrase 'phoney war'.
One week's ration for one adult.
The first meal of my rationed diet i had was corned beef fritters with 2 slices of wholemeal bread and butter and one apple for pudding.
from the book 'We'll Eat Again'
I actually really enjoyed it, but i must admit since having my lunch i am feeling rather peckish but i suppose it's because I've got to get used to not eating as much as i normally do.
As i have restricted myself to no television and little computer this is what i shall be reading a lot of.
I've actually really been enjoying the Cazalets: the light years on BBC 4.
Ta ta for now! Until tomorrow!
x
